All our towels are woven on old-style looms with shuttles, made by the last families of weavers in Turkey. This weaving method results in towels that far out-last factory made towels, due to the slow weaving speeds and quality of the cotton. Our certified organic flat woven pestamel (thin towels) will last 5-6 times longer than factory made equivalents.  Our thick looped towels are second to none and will last AT LEAST 20 years. Ottoman weavers in the 17th century invented the 'looping' technique (cotton woven in loops) on wooden looms and revolutionized our idea of what a towel is.
