Opulent Comfort

The soft cotton fibres feel blissfully indulgent, whilst providing an unsurpassed level of absorption

time-honoured textiles made by turkish artisans

Ottoloom is a New Zealand-based designer of the finest quality, hand loomed Turkish towels. We’re passionate about selling one-of-a-kind, luxurious products that will stay soft and absorbent for more than twenty years.

Sustainable luxury

Our towels are made exclusively with 100% independently certified organic cotton. All our artisans are paid fairly for their work, allowing them to support their families, continue practicing in their traditional professions and to teach this life-long art form to new generations.

Our artisans are some of the the last remaining people with the equipment and knowledge to produce this traditional thick-looped weave, which has been around since the Ottoman era. They are made using practices that are sustainable and environmentally friendly, with the end result being a fabric of integrity and strength, with a look, singular to this craft.

Traditionally made by hand on old wooden shuttle looms, our pestamel range is a truely authentic Turkish Towel.

The superior quality of the organic yarn and gentle hand weaving technique means this towel will stay soft and absorbent for over ten years, compared to mass-produced, bleached and chemically-treated factory imitations. Try them and we promise you will see the difference.

I have to say you've RUINED me for 'normal' towels - we got some other, cheaper Turkish towels and we were horrified at how starchy, thin and 'plastic' they felt! Just can't do it.

Just wanted to say a big thank you for my new bath towels, I absolutely love them! They work perfectly with my new bathroom.

Hands down the best towel I have ever used and its sooooo beautiful. I am so glad I found your site!
